As I sat here feeling sorry for myself for all the studying I need to do (and am clearly not doing), I stumbled onto Seattle Mama Doc’s most recent blog, “Stronger – I Missed You” and was jolted back to reality. I wanted to share the video with y’all, because I’m so impressed with not only the meaning behind it, but also with the creative talent and filming that went into it. It was created by a patient of the Seattle Children’s Cancer Unit, Chris Rumble. Bravo!

I really used to despise when people would use this cliche phrase – typically to comfort someone going through a relatively benign event, like a break-up or broken down car. I would think of patient’s I’ve seen with problems that, from my point of view, didn’t kill them, but sure as heck didn’t make them stronger. At this time, I’d like to draw your attention to a group of kiddos proving me wrong.
